In the ECOS FEZ commercial taxes are absent. If you open a company, then your responsibilities include only the monthly payment of income tax for employees.
The list of documents required for opening a company depends on the following factors:
- Who will be the founder of the company (individual or legal) and how many shareholders will own the company;
- A new company will be opened or it will be a branch or subsidiary. In the case of shareholders that are legal entities and the opening of a branch or subsidiary, duly certified / legalized corporate documents will be required.
The presence of a registered address of the company in the ECOS FEZ is one of the key conditions for obtaining residency. To obtain an address, a business owner can rent an office, enter into a lease agreement for a room, or rent a workplace (Flexi-desk) from a free economic zone.
Flexi-desk is a workplace in coworking of a free economic zone that is allocated for use by resident employees. At the same time, the cost of renting such a place is several times less than the cost of an annual office rent, which is the best solution for a start-up business.

Opening a company in Armenia takes 1-2 days. However, it must be taken into consideration that some activities require additional permits from local authorities (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defense, etc.), which may extend the period of company registration to several months.
For opening a company in Armenia, the formation of authorized capital is required. The standard size of the authorized capital for LLC is 10,000 Armenian drams.
